ABOUT
NOTE PRESS CO.
From humble beginnings.
Les Allen & Pat Cormack met playing footy as kids in Melbourne's North Western suburb of Sunshine. They remained good friends as Les went on to own and operate the pub in Marysville and Pat the Butchers shop in Laverton North. In 1988 Australia introduced polymer bank notes and over a beer at Les's Marysville Hotel in 1996 both men discussed the trouble these notes were causing in their cash registers. They just simply would not stay flat.
Later that year Note Press Co was born as Les & Pat designed and developed a spring loaded plate that adapted to fit into existing cash drawers. This led to the further development of IBM & NCR Note Press cash drawers and accesories.
Fast forward to today and Note Press Co. has supplied to some of the countries biggest chains in Rebel Sport, Kmart, Big W, Target and Woolworths. The company is now owned and operated in Bendigo Victoria by Les's son Ben who has as much passion for the business as both Les and Pat did way back in 1996.
